.  Welcome to my muddled and mostly mudane world. This is the daily journal of a California transplant living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. My husband and I share our home with 4 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. We are members of the LDS church, volunteers with Saint John Ambulance and we originally met on the internet. I have a unique background (like you), having attended a one-room school, worked for the USFS as a firefighter and timber crew leader, as a certified ski instructor, a telemetry monitor tech/ICU ward clerk, housewife, home school mom, etc, etc ad nauseum. I like cooking, eating, sewing, reading, gardening, art, hiking, nature, music. . .I guess I could probably be labeled with adult ADD, since I always seem to have too many interests and always need to have 15 projects on the go at any one time  Created by MyFitnessPal - Free Weight Loss Tools
